This multi-protocol, 10Base-T/100Base-TX internal print server uniquely supports two printers from a single EIO slot in any of HP's compatible line of LaserJet printers and Inkjet printers. It's easy to add the EIO print server to a printer and connect an additional USB printer through the EIO board. This is the most cost-effective and productive network printing solution in today's mixed SOHO and Corporate/Enterprise environments. It features full-scale compatibility with HP EIO printers including support for Web JetAdmin utility. Plus, there's high speed and reliable 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet networking, full-featured TCP/IP, NetWare, AppleTalk and recent Windows protocols support in every common client operating system. IP Filtering capability limits access to a printer by specifying authorized IP addresses or a range of authorized IP addresses via web browser.
This allows the network administrator to control unauthorized access to a printer. Intuitive on-screen Quick Setup Wizard provides you with point-and-click configuration. Also, Admin Manager is the configuration and management utility included for the network administrator, or experienced user to manage multiple devices over the network. IPv6, anticipated to replace IPv4 as the new Internet protocol standard, will enable growth of the Internet by expanding the current IP address standard. It will also clear the way for a virtually unlimited number of user addresses -- a critical issue for many areas of the world where IPv4 user addresses are in short supply. The PRICOM H-260U Print Server supports the new, advanced Internet protocol so users position themselves for future compatibility.
